“Spring Is Here” –
春といえば変化の季節。そんな”変化”がテーマだった、HermesのVIP向けパーティー「Le Bal des Metamorphoses」のお手伝いをさせて頂きました。以下の写真は、その豪華なパーティーのプロデューサーNadege WinterとDJをして頂いたPELIの二人。
Spring is the season of transformation and Hermes just held a special VIP party here fittingly titled “Le Bal des Metamorphoses” in Tokyo which I had helped out with. The photo above is from the special evening featuring Nadege Winter who produced the wonderful party together with PELI whom we had DJ.
“Tear Rolls” –
先日行われた来日ライブも最高だったDIRTY BEACHESことAlex Zhang Hungtaiとは、今回”牡蠣マイスター”のいる銀座のお店まで足を運んだものの、残念ながら上質の牡蠣の数が少ない日だということで断られてしまい、別のお店へ行き「涙巻き」などを食べることに。そして、色んな国を転々としながら自分探しをするという深い話しをつまみに、そのわさびの芽の入った「涙巻き」を食べて、涙目をしながら笑い合うような時間をお酒を交わして過ごしたのだった。
さすがに泣かされているところの写真をアップするわけにもいかないので、前回連れて行ったお店の名物の一つだった「鶏刺し」に驚くアレックスの写真をアップしておくことにします。
Alex Zhang Hungtai of DIRTY BEACHES was in town again recently for a show here, and as usual we went for some food and drinks together on one of his days off. We had decided to get some raw oysters at this place in the Ginza area run by an “oyster meister” but were turned away as they only had a very small ration of “good” oysters left to serve that night and had opted to go get some “Tear Rolls” instead. We talked about music and about our cross-cultural identities, while we got teary-eyed from the wasabi sprout sushi “Tear Rolls” and drank whiskey and sodas and laughed together.
As I wouldn’t want to post any “teary-eyed” photos of us in fear of our being seen as being too sentimental, the above photo is from a previous dinner and drink session with Alex and our special treat of “raw chicken sashimi.”

最近良くDJとしてぼくもイベントに参加させて頂いているオルタナティヴ・アーバン・フォーク・デュオのJAN AND NAOMIの二人と「NeoL Scat Vol.1」@ Liquidroom演奏後の一枚。こちらの写真はフォトグラファーの藤田一浩さんが撮ってくれました。
