【STORY】
「傷にはいろいろある。見える傷だけじゃない」
1938年フランス、リー・ミラー（ケイト・ウィンスレット）は、芸術家や詩人の親友たち──ソランジュ・ダヤン（マリオン・コティヤール）やヌーシュ・エリュアール（ノエミ・メルラン）らと休暇を過ごしている時に芸術家でアートディーラーのローランド・ペンローズ（アレクサンダー・スカルスガルド）と出会い、瞬く間に恋に落ちる。だが、ほどなく第二次世界大戦の脅威が迫り、一夜にして日常生活のすべてが一変する。写真家としての仕事を得たリーは、アメリカ「LIFE」誌のフォトジャーナリスト兼編集者のデイヴィッド・シャーマン（アンディ・サムバーグ）と出会い、チームを組む。そして1945年従軍記者兼写真家としてブーヘンヴァルト強制収容所やダッハウ強制収容所など次々とスクープを掴み、ヒトラーのアパートの浴室でポートレイトを撮り戦争の終わりを伝える。だが、それらの光景は、リー自身の心にも深く焼きつき、戦後も長きに渡り彼女を苦しめることとなる。
